KIWANIS MEETING OF SEPT.16

PROGRAM

( Lt to Rt)Jerry Martin, Betty Ludwig, Mary Boyer, and Rev. Don Almond of Trinity United Methodist Church visited Kiwanis today to share in their 2008 celebration of the church's 150th anniversary. Trinity is located at 6th and Osage here in Leavenworth.
OTHER MEETING HAPPENINGS
Kent Miller asked for more help at the upcoming races on Sept. 26, 27.28. Contact Kent if you can help. If we are going to fund our youth programs at the current levels, the income from the speedway is extremely important.
It was reported that 354 meals were served at the BBQ dinner and the nacho stand took in $385. Thanks to Mike Seufert and Janice Young for putting all of this together. The weather hurt these projects, hence, the importance of the speedway. Maybe Peanut Days can save us. Go Gloria!!
Todays attendance -- 21 Kiwanians and one guest-- Ed Hawkins. Thank you Ed for helping at the nacho stand.
Drawing- no winner today. $20 next week.
